My Winter Bucket List!

I know I’ve told you this before but I LOVE this time of year!! I’m in love with the chilly air, the cozy sweaters, the comfy nights in … I love how I can now have our fireplace on and a bunch of candles lit, and swapping the rose out for red wine. Fall is a pretty relaxing time of year, especially after the hustle and bustle of summer! So far we’ve had an amazing fall, I went apple and pumpkin picking with Leo, we had our Vegan Thanksgiving dinner with my family … and I even had an impromptu October pool party with the girls … pretty perfect, we even had the pool management Roswell team helping us out. However, I’m BEYOND excited about this winter and I’ve been thinking lots about my winter bucket list because there are going to be so many firsts with Leo!!

Okay, let’s dig right into this!! Here we go …

Jillian Harris Winter Bucket List

Cozy Nights In

I just envision snow falling outside our window, the fireplace on and watching Christmas movies cuddled up with my boys under a ton of blankets, with goodies and hot chocolate or mayyyybe a glass of wine … just maybe … ?

Jillian Harris Winter Bucket List

Build a Snowman with Leo

It’s our very first winter in our new home and I couldn’t be more eager to get out in our snow-covered yard and roll up a big ‘ol snowman with Leo!!

Tobogganing with Leo

Eeeeppp!! I remember tobogganing ALL THE TIME when I was younger! Nothing beats a good hill and some fresh air on a wintery day!! I could do without the walk back UP the hill … but I don’t think Leo will mind. LOL.

Visiting Santa

Last year we took Leo to see Santa in the CUTEST little cabin ever but he was so young that he didn’t really understand what was happening, while he is still pretty young it will be fun to see what exactly his reaction is this year and every year after that!!

Ice Skating

I know Justin is really excited to get Leo out on the hill on a snowboard … but that’s not really my thing … but ice skating, on the other hand, now that’s more my jam … and Leo and I can both use the little helper thing … you know what I’m talking about … right?? LOL.

Jillian Harris Winter Bucket List

Go to a Christmas Market

I loooove everything about Christmas Markets!! From the mulled wine to the handmade gifts and Christmas carols! They are simply the best!!

Travelling

Since taking a break from Love It Or List It Vancouver, I’ve been enjoying the new house and summer and have been sort of a hermit so this fall and winter we have trips planned to Mexico, Hawaii, and Europe to visit Sammy, Dustin, and Hayden … I’m so excited to start exploring again!

Spending Time with Family

I’m really looking forward to the winter months as they give everyone the same chance to slow down and spend more time together!! I REALLY want to make sure I hang out at Grandma’s more this year!

Jillian Harris Winter Bucket List

Give Back to a Charity

Every year around Christmas I like to round up a bunch of donations and give back to the Kelowna Food Bank, it makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside knowing I can bring a little cheer to families who need it most!

  1. I love all these ideas too as this is also my favourite time of year!

Wondering if you could share where some of your fall/winter coats are from!?

  2. https://honeybea.ca/
Hi Jillian, Becky is a designer in Toronto and she is a shining light. Everything is made with such love and purpose. My daughter and I have begun conversations about making hats

for cancer teens. Childhood cancer Canada is willing to support it because hats become security blankets for these kids… check out her amazing sweaters ant bum warmers.
I think you’ll love her stuff as much as we do.

  3. That red toque…. where from?! SO CUTE. Also the grey long sweater, is that the favourite you’ve been wearing lately?

  4. Love all of these!!! Hosting an after New Years Party is also one of my faves because no one is doing anything in January.

Ps. Where do I get the red beanie!?!?

    Have a beautiful day!

  10. The Carousel Thestre in Armstrong! Went years ago when we lived here, it was really cool! Looking forward to getting a group together to go now we are back in the OK. Last year we went on a slay ride in the snow – epic! Going to see if I can find a place up here (Smithers is a bit far). Cookie exchange near Christmas (although maybe we will ditch the cookies and just have wine and appies!). And hot apple cider – mmmmm (and not that crap from Starbucks!). Hopefully you picked up some apple juice at Davison Orchards while you were there. Heat it up, add mulling spices and you are are set (whipped cream – or coconut topping on top if you desire a little indulgence) and voila – the best fall warm drink!

  11. Last year you sponsored a family in need, where could I sign up for this? Instead of Xmas presents my family wanted to give to a family in need.

    1. I’m also looking forward to the winter because of the holiday season! I always get this warm, fuzzy feeling around this special time. I’m looking forward to decorating for Hanukkah! It would be nice, however, to find Hanukkah decor that can compete with all of the beautiful Christmas decor that is available. The hunt continues for me and my munchkins!! Love everything about you, btw!!

Your love for him is so wonderful to watch and it’s truly a blessing to all of us that you continue to share your journey with him.
