3 Holiday Party Dresses That’ll Take You From Flirty to Formal

Ladies and Gentlemen … it’s officially the season of holiday parties and events!! These past two weekends Justin and I have had a couple of events to attend, one of them was a black-tie gala! I searched my closet HIGH AND LOW for something to wear! It had to be something pretty fancy and not to mention, something that FIT which turned out to be a bit of a challenge considering I just had a baby! LOL!

I really wanted to wear a dress but nothing I had was making the cut (if you follow me on Insta stories, you would have seen the fashion show ?) so I ended up wearing a black jumper! Well, it turns out, my order from Modcloth had arrived that evening and I didn’t realize it had come in (gah!!!!!) and in the package was a dress that would have been PERFECT for this gala! This was the Chic Showstopper Fit & Flare dress! I mean … c’mon … this dress SCREAMS BLACK TIE!!

This dress is so flattering and comfortable and to top it off, it has pockets!! I would 100% recommend this for any black tie event you may have coming up!

Ps. Modcloth currently has their Cyber Monday sale on from now until November 27th! Save 40% when you spend $150, this ALSO includes sale items!!

The weekend after the gala, Justin and I were invited to the Kelowna Ballet and luckily for me, I had TWO more dresses in my Modcloth order!! This time around, I knew EXACTLY which one I was going to wear which ended up being the Flaunt Where You Want Twofer Dress!

This dress is a nice mix between dressy and casual which was the best fit for the ballet … I think it has something to do with the blush tulle skirt! This dress would also be fantastic for a couples Christmas dinner or a girls night out!!

The third (and final … lol!) outfit in my Modcloth order is this adorable plaid skirt, which I paired with this festive green crew neck cardigan and velvet block heels! This plaid skirt is so versatile, you could pretty much wear it with any top whether it be a sleeveless tank or a button up! It’s the perfect outfit a work Christmas party!! In fact, I might even wear this to our Team Jilly Christmas dinner!!
