How are you guys liking this season of Love It Or List It Vancouver!?!?! Have you been tuning in every Monday night at 10PM E/P to HGTV Canada!?!? This has to be one of my favourite seasons with some of the best reveals … even though Todd’s beating me by a few so far (but who’s counting anyways lol)!!! Grab your coffees and read on for all of the details from last night’s episode …
I know they normally say that “the MORE space the better” when it comes to homes and home buying … but that’s not always the case. Especially if the home is outdated and too big for the family to keep up with. You need to find the happy medium in between living on top of each other with no square footage and having TOO much space that you can’t seem to keep up with. This was the issue Dan & Heather were having with their home. Yes sure, they had so much room for their family to grow into … but they also had so much extra space that some unwanted house guests decided to move in (yes, I’m talking about the rats). In my opinion, it’s worth getting rid of that space and instead moving to a neighbourhood that you prefer in a home that fits your family just right …. and that’s exactly what they did!!!!
I’m happy for the two of them and their own little Leo. They found a home closer to Dan’s work with NO extra work which in the end will be stress-free for the whole family. Sometimes new is the way to go if those are the things that you’re looking for …
Stor-X went ABOVE and beyond for Dan & Heather … they completely customised their master bedroom closet, rec room millwork AND rec room closets. One of the most useful things I always suggest in a reno is custom built closets and millwork. They help keep everything organised while looking fresh and clean! If you’re wanting a quick fix and don’t know where to start I suggest starting here …
Dan and Heather’s bathroom was one of my favourite parts of the renovation. We completely updated the floors with a gorgeous outlined hex from Olympia Tile and Stone … and replaced all of the fixtures with updated Kohler ones to match the space. Not to mention ALL of the built-ins and millwork were perfectly finished off with Schaub and Company hardware to add that additional personalized touch to every piece.
A big thank you as always to Janis Nicolay for the gorgeous photos!!
