Last night was the premiere of an all new season of Love It or List It Vancouver on the W Network. I am so excited for you to see this season, these are some of my favourite reveals so far!!
Derek and Joanna were some of my all time favourite home owners. They were so kind, so sweet and sensitive. I was not surprised that they decided to love it in the end. It was the cutest character home in the most beautiful neighbourhood … it was tough for Todd to compete with it!!! BUT … how about that kitchen … you know I’m a sucker for an all white kitchen and this one was executed perfectly. Opening up even just one wall made it so spacious. If I were abele to open up two walls it may have been too much and too open. When going for an open concept you have to be careful because it can become one giant warehouse feeling room really quickly. Sometimes it’s good to keep the intimacy and in my opinion it was a good thing we weren’t able to bump out both.
I absolutely LOVED these Silestone countertops in Bianco River they helped tie in the subtle grey hues throughout the kitchen. We built up the edge 4cm to give it a more defined step on the edge.
I can’t get enough of the amazing lights we installed above the island and sink especially. Changing light fixtures is a small change but it can make a huge difference in a room. I found all of them at Design Lighting.
We painted the walls a gorgeous subdued colour of grey called Mist from the washable flat collection at Cloverdale Paint. This colour kept everything light, bright, fresh and airy throughout the kitchen and living room. It also makes it easy to change out the furniture and accessories without having to re paint!
A big thank you as always to Janis Nicolay for the gorgeous photos!!
